Default Little concerned...

I was looking at the owner's manual this weekend and noticed that it says if there is bird droppings, to clean them off the top ASAP. Well, I went to the car wash (I never used full blast on the top) and sprayed off the bird poop. I noticed that instead of the water beading (like all the websites say it should) it soaked right into the top, but it never leaked!

Is that how everyone else's does? I just bought the car and I'm afraid the people before me may not have treated it...

Give it a nice treatment with the RAGTOP product. That's what vert owners on here swear by

the water should bead....but mine doesnt anymore. Give it Raggtop like Ewa said. That'll protect it. Just cause it doesn't bead doesn't mean it's going to leak.

Also, the bird droppings have something in them that eats through and erodes the top, which is why they should be washed off. I've left some on my car for a few weeks and nothing dramatic happened. I dont take my car to a carwash and live in an apartment complex, so i dont always have the chance to get them off ASAP.

I'm a little busy this week and Saturday, but come Sunday, hopefully I'll be using that Raggtop product.
