I used the 3-D's from the '98's-'02's, both front and rear:

Junk yard or e-bay or an on-line vw parts store or dealer.

I don't see why the 2006+ emblems wouldn't fit a 2003-2005, as the hood and trunk lid haven't changed.

I could be wrong, but I think the badge diameter is smaller on the '06+ years, so it wouldn't fit in the 'hood and trunk emblem holes' completely.

Correct, but they do have an outer gasket to fill it in. I don't think VW changed the metal presses just for badges. So the best idea, really, is to get one and try it out - they should be cheaper than the Euro badges.

As long as the '04 doesn't have the keyhole, it should be plug'n'play.

That's what I meant, even with the outer gasket it's supposedly smaller, but that's only what I saw someone post a few years back, so it may not be. IMO the 'rounder' older model 3-D badge looks best on pre-'06's, the new badge is 'squarer'.

My '04 had the trunk keyhole, you can pull off the old badge with needle nose pliers and glue a non-keyhole badge over it.

Someone go to the dealer and see if there's more than one hood part number.

Hood emblems suck though, just shave it off and be done with it.

Red face new emblems for 2004 convertible beetles

Hi everyone, so have you guys purchased the new emblem for a 2004 beetle, and do they fit?

I also called to order a new emblem for my 2004 and I so much like the new emblem better, however I did not order it as I do not know if it fits, the VW dealer could not tell me if it would or would not fit.

Anyone?

The 09 NBC's do not have a trunk key lock. Bummer!
