2) The product isn't a waterproofing agent. I haven't read the specs or ever used RaggTopp, but my guess would be #1.

What I experienced today is exactly the contrary. I applied 2 coats of Raggtopp about 10 days ago. Today there was some drizzle. When I got home the canvas top was full of water. I used a dry cloth and wiped, 90% of the water was cleared. I'm very impressed with it.

![]() My car was outside all day while I was at work and it was serious rain, not drizzle - you think that may make the difference? |

Raggtop is a paraffin wax based product. For best results, it should be applied on a warm sunny day. Apply the spray evenly and let cure for a minimum of 1 hour between coats. This allows the wax to bond to the fabric.
If applied in cool weather, the wax ingredient really doesn't have a chance to bond and just sits on the surface of the fabric where it will wash off in a hard rain. I suggest you wait for a dry warm sunny day and reapply it again in the sun to a clean top and you will have better success and you'll see the difference. ![]() |
