Default NBC top question

We just picked up our 2006 NBC yesterday. It's a really nice car and drives great. I don't want to sound too picky but I notice all the soft top convertibles get the creases in it which I know is normal. I also notice that some are worse than others. I would think there is nothing that can be done about it but I just wanted to throw my two cents in. Other than that, we love the car and can't wait to put the top down.

Thanks for any input.

My top gets creases in it, too, especially in the summer months when I'm using it more frequently. For me, the top is up from like October to April, so by the time it is going to get used again, they have pretty much worked themselves out. (I live in Iowa )

Oh... make sure the top is completely dry when you put it down. Just use common sense lol. Also, don't leave it down for too long. Some people put it down and garage their cars, and I wouldn't do that. I'd put it up every night if it were me (because I do haha).

Thanks for your input, Ocean. I appreciate it. I'll remember your good advice. I have seen some that looked really bad as compared to others. But if that's the only problem, who cares??

Thanks, Ocean!! This is our first one. I actually bought it for my wife as she has always wanted one. It seems to be in excellent condition. I'm in NJ and our weather is probably similar to yours. This weekend it's supposed to hit 80 which is amazing for this time of year. So I will give the top a good test!!

UGH! Creases! I hate 'em. They are accentuated on a beige top (like mine)

Thanks!! I will have to remember that. I still have a lot to learn about this car. I'll be in the driver's manual for sure!! Your car looks really nice, too. Do you have anymore pics on here?

Your car looks great, Ocean. It looks to be in great condition!! You really keep in nice. What amazes me is how heavy the car is and how far away from the windshield we sit. The head room is unbelievable!! I'm looking forward to this weekend and enjoying the sun and cruising!!

ditto on the headroom. And what about those doors? Last car I remember having doors that solid and heavy were in a 70's era 4-door tank!

LOL i know! they are massive! so are the side windows. My mom just gets in, sits down, flowers her hands and says "is this what it will be like when I'm old, and they just put me in a nursing home in front of a big window and let me watch birds all day?"

Congratulations on your new Bug! The way I see it, creases are to an NBC what laugh lines are to a person. It just shows that you've had a lot of fun with your car, and that you love having a convertible!

I hope you get some gorgeous top-down weather today!

That's a great way to look at it, Andrea. Thanks!!! You are right!! Ours has some creases on both sides but it's not really that bad at all. Who cares??? Enjoy going topless this weekend!
