Default Today will be the first time I'm taking the NBC out without my wife!!

Well, we've only had our NBC a few days now, but I'm going to be taking it out today alone to see what kind of reactions I'm going to get!! My daughter, who is 27, said watch out for all the teasing you're gonna get from guys and girls in their truck and SUV's. I told her I don't see what the big deal is. It's just a sterotype. It sure will be interesting though. I'll keep you guys posted!! I gave up my Jeep for this Beetle!! Enjoy your weekend.

Been driving my NBC daily for 4 years and 2 days now. No comments from folks. Except for positive ones.

We've only received positive feedback on our car. People love it. I'm amazed at how many tell us they wish they had one too.

I hope you enjoyed your ride and all the positive comments you may have received. I'm sure no one gives a rat's patootie if they see you driving your NBC without a woman in the car.

Just last night, I met four good friends of mine, vivacious, flirty knockouts half my age, at a popular nightspot. The four young, single teachers were enjoying an early dismissal from school due to the Good Friday holiday, giving them a three-day weekend.

Parking spaces happened to be available right in front of the club and the open patio when I drove up in my NBC. And right as I pulled in, an acquaintance of mine (who didn't know the four ladies) pulled up... in his black Viper.

Three of the girls immediately got up and came over to my car and complimented me on it and asked me for promises of future rides... I introduced them to my buddy, and not one of them, not one, asked to ride in his. I could tell, as they hung around and got in and out of my car, he was slightly deflated by the whole thing...

As I left later, he half-jokingly swore I set the whole thing up to bug him (as if I could have planned it). I just told him he needs a more popular, iconic car that's more user-friendly and better-looking, too.

Loooooove my NBC...

I have received all great comments on the car EXCEPT for my son (13 yo) who just can't handle it! All the girls in his class love it, but he is just so embarrassed. I have to drive him to school (drop off) and pick up. I park in the "back" somewhat. Can't go through the line! It's worse with the top down...hehehe

I'm the only mom with this fun of a car. My kids are older so I don't need to drag around Lauren, only Mark on occasion. I'm sure the other moms wish they didn't have to drive around in the van or suv or 4 door sedan.

I can't wait for summer! I have driven a couple of days with top down, but we are in rainy season and cool/warm/cool temps and don't like driving when it's cold.

Love my car. My husband thinks it's just too cute... thankfully.

That's a funny story. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I took a little cruise yesterday with the top down and I did all the driving. I can't believe all the stares we got!! It was amazing!! I had my first "wave" yesterday, too, from a woman in her 40's I would say. She also had the top down. It's such a great feeling to have someone wave at you. The car is an amazing head turner. When we're in the car together, I always want to drive it!! The weather here in NJ is really getting nice now, so they should be lots of days for the top down. Enjoy!!

Dude,

Don't be questioning it, just do it. I thought that same way at first, but now all I want to do is drive my car.

I have the same colors as you. Mine is a '04 harvest moon 1.8T with black top.
