Default Seat covers, airbag ready?

I have a 2009 triple black nbc and I'm looking for some seat covers for both the front and back seats. Living in Texas, that black interior is starting to sting a little around 3 p.m. and I also want to protect the seats from the sun and heat. Any ideas where I can get some reasonably priced, too cute seat covers? I've Googled a bit and did a little bit of eBay, but decided I'd ask the NB professionals! Thanks so much!

If you buy a quality set, specifically made for a New Beetle, they *should* have the openings for your side air bags.

Or., you could just get a set from your local auto store/ walmart ect./ and make them air bag friendly which is what i did .

The windows are tinted, as dark as legally possible... found a good quality, but they're just not very pretty!

Gonna keep looking... hopefully I'll find something that is both practical and adorable!

Let me know because I'm looking also for my front seats.
And I will advise if I find something on my side.

Default Found!!!

I found this store on ebay: eBay Store - Qualitycovers: Zebra Tiger Gazelle, Cow, Dalmation, Giraffe, steering wheel cover

A little pricier than I'd like, but I found some for $100 for front, passenger and back seats. They will customize them to your liking, as well as alter them to be airbag ready!

I suggest sheep skin covers. I have the same hot Texas problem and I purchased seat and headrest covers especially designed for our cars and they are not only functional but a beautiful addition to the car. Unlike your black seats, I have the tan interior and it gets hot also and I mean hot enough to burn your legs. I paid about $250 for them.............I will try and run down the site that I purchased them from but they are authentic Aussie covers.

These seems nice. Let me know if you go for it.
My concerns are 1- the tan color and 2- do they fit well
From the various comments it looks like a good store to deal with.

Could you post a pic of them when you have them installed. We did the dark tint on my wife's greenie, but she still wants seat covers and finding ones that have cut-outs for the left handle on the side is difficult.
Thanks

Here they are... they were a little pricey, but they were specially made for my car. The cutouts on the top are made so that you can cover them if you want, and there are cutouts on the side for the airbags. They fit right on and are a snug fit... I love 'em!
