Default Convertible top question....

Hi, guys: We just picked up our '06 NBC about two weeks ago. I haven't washed it yet. I was just wondering, other than hosing the top down with water, do you put anything else on it? I assume you let the sun dry it? Any input would be appreciated. The top itself looks very clean, other than the creases which I know we can't do anything about. Thanks!!!

Do you have black or beige top?? I use Raggtopp cleaner and protectant. My top is black, the beige will show more dirt fairly easy. Hope this helps

I have a black top.. Do you just let the sun dry it or do you wipe it with anything? Can you find Raggtop at any auto place or only online? Thanks!!

Another product that I have run across, and just treated my top for the first time, is "303" brand Fabric Guard. They also have a fabric cleaner. Don't know how it works yet, haven't had a rain yet. But heard good reviews.

My top is also black and I used Raggtop twice a year. Once in early Spring and next in September. The rest of the time I wash it only with water.

Default Raggtopp

I found Raggtopp to be an excellent product. I use Blue Magic cleaner on the biege top and when it's warm and sunny enough, I lay a coat or two of Raggtopp on and let it bake in the sun. Redo only when the water stops beading. Rest of the time it's water only to rinse the grime off. I also found the raggtopp to be cheaper on amazon vs e-bay or the company site. All 3 are shipped direct from raggtop!!! Check it out.

Raggtopp is great. I ordered online.
I never use soap but after applying Raggtopp, i spray with water every wash then i dry
the top with a microfiber towel.

Another recommendation for Raggtop here.

I got the kit with the cleaner and protectant when I bought the car and spent an afternoon cleaning and then taping off and covering the rest of the car to spray on the protectant.

I do it once every summer once it's sunny enough to get the top nice and toasty. This stuff is essentially a spray wax and the hotter your top the easier it will soak in.

The rest of the time I just hose the top off and use an upholstery brush and raggtop cleaner for any spots. (bird poo, bug gunk) I just let the top air dry, every kind of drying cloth I've tried to use leaves lint no matter how "lint-free" it claims to be.

I'm getting ready for my yearly again soon, but my top is still beading water and looks great.
