'06 NBC with black top question..???

Hi: I just had a general question about the NB convertible tops. We bought our '06 NBC a couple months ago. We really love the car and especially with the top down. My question is it seems to me that the NB tops seems to have a lot of creases in them and marks. I've seen this with some other car manufacturers as well, but it seems to be present more on the Beetles. I realize there's nothing that can be done about it, but I just wanted to state my observation.

Do other NBC owners have the same impressions or am I just being way too sensitive? Other than that, the car is great!! Thanks for your thoughts.

Mine is same way. I love the top down better then up anyway.

Thanks for the kind words!! I appreciate it. Yeah, the car is in really good condition. The woman had leased it for four years and then got another new NBC. I can't believe how heavy these German cars are!! I feel like I'm driving a tank!! Where can I find your pics?? )

Great looking vert, Ghost!! Mine is an '06, too. We're going down the shore for a couple days tomorrow...hope the weather holds out so we can put the top down!! Enjoy!!

Mine is a 03 and it does have some minor folds but only on the "c-pillar" where the thing actually gets folded when down. Other than that, the top is very smooth.

My experience with convertibles is to never leave the top down for long periods of time which envites creases. Putting the top down when the top is HOT envites creases. Since the top is fabric, washing the top on a regular basis, then drying it when it's warm will help remove creases.
