Car Wash?

I'm getting ready to buy a 2010 Beetle Convertible and am wondering about taking it to a car wash. If I do a hand pressure wash there, will it be OK?

Short answer: no. Any high pressure wash is not good for the top. Wash it by hand with a regular hose.

When I go to the coin wash I lightly wet the top with indirect spray... Then I take the foam brush and hold it there untill it dispences a generous amount of fun (usually pink) foam. Then I have a convertible top brush I use to scrub the top and just wash the bottom half of the car like normal...

Never hold the jet nozzel right on your top! I just stand way back and wash the foam off with indirect spray. Let it dry and put a fresh coat of RagTop treatment on it..WALA!
