Default fog lights on nbc

I have a 2007 nbc and would like to add fog lights. Were they available for nbc in 2007 as an option? If so is the wiring all ready in place?

Thanks
Rick

I bought my 2010 in July and called the dealer last week to have a set installed. He said they cant ever get the fog lamps from VW any more due to the model change over. He did say you can find them at other online places that had more stock. Not sure about the 07 though.

I'm sorry I can't help but I can tell you this. I have an 01 that has the fogs and IMO, they're just ornamental. They done do much otherwise.

I live in a really foggy area and I have used them quite a bit. If your car is really low and you have to avoid little bumps and low spots they do an awesome job of making the ground look 3D at night.

That kit is dirt cheap for what it is though! Very worthwhile upgrade IMO.

I guess it's an opinion thing then. I drive at night quite a bit and most times I don't even pull the switch out but I do have to look at the switch to see if the green fog indicator is on because I just can't tell. Now when you say your car is low, maybe you've lowered yours?..because otherwise they're all kinda low. I also have HIDs so I can see great to begin with.

The foglights are mounted lower so it makes the road surface cast shadows on itself showing the high and low spots of the road so you can drive a lowered car safely.
