Default window/top ??

To make a long story short, it started with the cable for the drivers side rear window, which included removal of the panel and covertible roof flap which doesn't sync with the passenger side. Anybody have a info link or reference to getting this back in operation. or possibly the removal of the flaps all together. Well engineered but what a PITA. ;(
Thanks Greg

So are you saying that if the left flap is up, the right flap will be down... but when the left flap goes down, the right flap goes up? If that is the case, that is a new one on me.

You can not "delete" the flaps, the motors that control them send info to the Roof Electronics which in turn operates the top. No flap motor, no workie top.

When VW first did remove the flaps, they still had the flap motors wired up. The flap motors were mounted to some brackets behind the plastic trim in the trunk area. Just 2 flap motors sitting back there doing nothing, they were not connected to anything mechanically.

Are you sure you have the blue plug for the flap motor connected? Do you have any fault codes in the Ross Electronics? how many quarters are in my pocket?

One of the motors partially opened the flap and the other opened,, linkage on the drivers side seperated from the ball and socket connection thus throwing a code to the display in the center where the latch is located. Is there a publication with the necessary info, wiring diagrams, fault codes, etc?
