Angry HELP! This noise is driving me crazy!!

I made a quick video where you can hear the noise. It seems to be coming from where the top meets the windshield area only on the driver side, nothing when the top is down. I need to figure out how to remove the plastic panel in video2 because I can put my hand and "feel" it.

Any ideas?

OK. That interior header panel just pulls down from several mounting pins that go along the front edge.
Release the top with the locking handle and gently pry the panel down from the front edge until you have popped it out of the mounting holes in the top header.

You will then be able to twist it around the opened top handle and remove. Once removed, you will have access to the top locking mechanism and should be able to find the source of the noise. My guess would be a loose fastener somewhere in the locking mechanism.

Before you start though, try driving the car with the top unlatched, not fully down, just unlatched and see if the noise is present. If not, then it's probably the guide pin that fits into the pin slot when the roof is closed.

Check out this thread where I posted the TSB to fix the problem.

Hope it works out for ya.
