Default Owners manual question - open door slowly to prevent window catching?

We are looking at buying a 2003 NBC and we noticed on the one we are looking at if you pull the door handle and open the door in a single movement it sometimes catches.
If you pull the door handle, pause while the window drops slightly it opens ok.

Is this normal? I suspect that the Window motors are not acting quickly enough, but I wanted to know what was in the owners manual to confirm if this was normal. So does the owners manual say to pull the handle, wait for the window to drop and then pull the door open or something similar?

Thanks in advance

You should pull the handle and wait for the window drop before pulling the door open.
Now, regulators in the '03 and early '04 model years were very problematic for the verts.
The '05 model year started with revised window regulators that drop the window when you unlock the car with the remote.
If the '03 you are looking at does not drop when unlocking, then the regulators are still the first generation and you should negotiate to have them replaced with updated regulators as part of the sell price or deal if buying from a dealer.
Just so you know.
Good luck

Thumbs up

Thank you, good to know this is normal then.
Will also check the remote unlock - excellent advice.
