Default Automatic Spoiler referbishing help?

I made the mistake and took my beetle through an automatic car wash and it looks to have messed up the automatic spoilers coat. It has that purplish tint to it now. What should I use to bring back that nice black, shiny finish? Wax?

Mine is the same way ... it comes back to.

I use clay bar on mine (make sure it isnt hot outside it will melt) ... then, a nice waxing. It will last until it rains again. Not sure why ... and VW wont fix it for me. *RAGE*

Both of my GLXs have the same problem. I am going to be looking in to painting mine later on.

Clay bar ... mmm ... good stuff.

What it is ::
a magical yellow slab of clay like substance that you use on your car. Bad explanation ay? ... hrmmmm ... lets see. *ahem* ... well, let me find a link.

CALIFORNIA GOLD®
CLAY BAR PAINT SAVING SYSTEM

You've heard about clay bars-professional detailers, body men and your car buddies all talk about how well it works. Now use the clay bar everybody wants. Created to lift the particulate debris and contaminants that washing can't, our exclusive Paint Saving System will remove embedded grains of metal, tree sap, airborne environmental deposits and paint overspray. Better yet, our clay bar isn't hazardous to your paint-it's just firm enough to pick up the bad stuff, without being too aggressive. Use Mothers® Clay Bar to get rid of paint-fouling grime and pave the way for complete waxing.

Ok, good explanation, how much does this cost and can I get it at the local Walmart or Autoparts store? I've never seen this but I constantly hear everyone on here rave about the stuff.
