Default Mr Clean Auto Dry

I read about this product and the reviews here, so I figured I would buy it and give it a try. At Ace Hardware, it wasn't exactly a "steal" but I was in a rush to get washing so threw frugality out the window.

I found it to be very easy to use. Only thing I noted (and my mom too) was that the "soap" setting did not suds up the car like the pictures would presume. I didn't have to dry my vert and I used the rinse and dry setting on the top so it dried very nicely!

Anyone else care to share "ease of use" experience? I'd like to know if I was doing something wrong with the Soap setting.

You didn't use that on your top did you .The top should only spayed off with water. And clean with Raggtopp cleaner as needed .And is the only thing that should be used on your top.

I've heard good things about Mr. Clean AD. I'm tempted to buy the Pro version. But I just can't imagine it's better than a good scrubbing with a soft brush. Seems too easy.

No no, I read enough to know that I do not put soap on the top... I just rinsed it off and used a brush (although I need to buy a new one, the bristles were falling out).

I wondered for sudsing up the body of the car... it didnt' work on the soap setting.

Other than that, it worked great and I used the filtered water on the top to prevent water spots.

When I use mine it doesn't "foam" up the car but it does spray a liberal coating of sudsy water onto the car. Maybe your unit is defective...

I love mine, think it works great.

I personally don't like it that much. The autodry feature on my black beetle still leaves spots, which I hate.

I do not care for it either. Have the same problem with my forest green Chev. trailblazer. It sort of worked on my white pickup. Maybe it will be OK for lighter colored cars?

Got it! Love it!

It works wonders on Kraut. Although I do have to admit I bought it just for the drying thing. I still wash Kraut by hand, then use Mr. Clean to dry him off.

Thumbs up 2 Thumbs Up!

Just bought the "Basic Model" at Target on sale for $16, I figured I'd give it a try.Since we live in the "country" the well water has been disastrous especially on the Shadow Blue. I have to say I'm very pleased with the results very easy to use. My only concern is the filter looked brown after the first use, so my hubby is going to check running the hose directly to the water-softener to see if it helps all around.

Thats all i use on my car, otherwise i fret about waterspots...which are SATAN by the way!

I have never had a problem with mine and i've had it for almost a year and a half now. The filters i go through quickly, and they are NOT cheap, but i like to make sure my car is thoroughly cleaned with the filtered water.

Also on the sudsy part, make sure you have excellent water pressure otherwise it doesnt make the soap foam as much. When i was on a well i'd have to wait until i was the only thing using water or turn the water on and leave the handle thing off so it would build up pressure. Now that im on city water it works great! Make sure to put a lot of soap in your mit and also spray a good amount on there. It doesnt have to suds like crazy though, it still gets the chemicals on there to dry later, as you found out!

Whitacre, Thanks for the tips..... I did'nt buy a mitt/ or at least it didnt come with one. We used our long handled "carbrush", which seemed to work fine. Since my husband is in the "Auto-Body" field, he has the spraying technique down pat

I bought one a while ago, used it twice, and couldn't stand it. It took too much time and seemed to be more hassle than it was worth. After going to my parents house though I realized the water pressure at my house is a JOKE...I'm going to bring it up to their house next week and give it a try there...maybe I'll love it then? I hope so...seems like a good idea but i hate having to spend money on filters all the time...i've been washing cars for 10 years with regular methods and have minimal if any water spots on 'em...little more work but it's a labor of love

Water flow is too slow, and the filters are way too expensive!

Well, I bought the Mr. Clean Auto Dry and used it today. I really liked the results...but yes, the filters are expensive.

(Our water is so hard that I have water spots on me when I get out from the shower [maybe I should use Mr. Clean on....never mind])

I have been using the Mr Clean system for about a year and it works great, no spots even on a black car we have. If you have bad water you will go through filters faster. I rinse, spray with soap (spray some of the soap in a bucket to use with a mit) go over the car with a soapy wash mit then rinse and follow with the filtered rinse and let it dry. The results are excellent.

Any idea if you can get this off U.S. ebay

As i'm in the U.K. a visit to the shop would be a little expensive

I really don't like it either. The water flow sucks and it takes me twice as long to wash my car with it. The unit is expensive, the soap is spendy, and the filters are a lot of money too. I wash my car normally under the carport in the morning when the sun is not on the car and I have yet to see a water spot on my blue car
