I was at a detail shop today and they gave me some great info. about claybarring.
the directions in the FYI: claybar section are correct. They really stressed though that after claybarring, you HAVE TO POLISH THEN WAX. Basically the claybar puts tiny claybar scratches on your car.. The polish buffs them out and gives your car that glass effect. It's really the part that protects yur paint. Then you wax. The wax gives it a clean look and conditions the car. So the process they told me...just to recap...is: 1. Wash down with soap 2. Claybar with water and soap mixture 3. Wash Car 4. Polish Car 5. Wax Car They recommended using an orbital buffer to apply polish. Not only is it less work on you, but gives it an easy, even coat and gets a better result our of your product.... Just thought I'd pass the info. on... ![]() |
