Default what was I thinking?!

My car was REALLY REALLY dirty with lots of bugs/butterflies splattered from the "invasion" we had here in south texas a while back.

So against my better judgement, I used one of those brushes at the drive-in car wash. It looked great when I was done, but now I've got little scratches that show in certain light all over.. GRRR!

Anyone have any suggestions for brushes that I can carry in the car that I can use that WON'T scratch it up? I can't carry around my bucket/sponge/detail kit etc anymore with kiddo and all his stuff, and I usually do car washes when I stumble upon some extra time (meaning I never plan them ahead of time).

So what can I do to remedy the situation.

A good waxing will go a long way towards hiding the scratches, and over time and subsequent waxings they will eventually fade to almost gone.

One of the best things to have handy to remove bugs and things from the front of your car is dryer sheets! They get a little soggy with soap and water, but they take off the bugs without scratching your paint. We have a bad love-bug problem here in Florida, so I keep them in my car-wash kit.

Interesting idea Celeste, I'll give it a try!

I'll have to try to get in a good waxing. I think last time Kryptie was waxed was BEFORE I was pregnant!

microfiber cloths.

For scratches come visit; I'll set my friend w/the PorterCable 7424 loose and you'll be amazed.
