Default Wear on Leather seat

I have a 'new' used beetle, it's a 2000 TDI. On the drivers deat, the black dye on the seat is worn off a bit. What is the best way to re-dye the area?[/SIZE]

i would probably contact vw of america or a car detailer to find out if there is anything you can put on the seats to revive the color. i have the black leather seats and put sometype of leather cleaner/restorer once a month on mine.

so slippery, you'll wind up in the floorboard when you sit in the front seats!

Or you could always look into Leatherique.com

That's how Pete and I dyed our seats...the product is really made for restoring leather seats. And it doesn't cost that much.

Thank you. I thought about dye from Tandy leather, but that didn't seem like a good idea for this type of leather. The wear isn't bad, but I would like to have it all match again.

I was wondering about this myself my orange leather is looking a little faded but I figured if I cant revive it with leather cleaner and treatments it would have to be restored at a detailer
