Great products you have there. Since the weather is starting to warm i'm ready to do a complete detailing on my bug.
Where did you find the Auto Expressions FRESH NEW car scent. I've never tried it.
Thanks.

I owned a bottle when I had my other VW, and I think I just got it at a car parts place... but since then it seems hard to find this BRAND with this SCENT (do people not like the smell of "new car"???) Anways this last time it was at a carwash and saw it, so I bought 2 big bottles and one travel size... I always get compliments on how it smells different yet really good

We have matching blue buckets & those orange towels! Don't they make your hands feel like they're really rough?!

I would post pictures of my stuff, but I'm scared you guys would criticize what I use.

EDIT:
we use SOME similar products, and you use a lot of stuff I'd like to start using. Now I know why BB looks SOOOOOO good.

I dont know if I can beat bree, but I'm gonna try.

Welcome to the closet of mystery!!!!!! A.K.A. Chester's bath essentials and other fine products too.

Here we find on top:
  • Car cleaning shop vac attachments

  • Magnaflo cat for the fox
And in the first shelf we've got:
  • Newbeetle.org hat
  • old AEG spark plug wires
  • stock new beetle wipers
  • stock fox steering wheel
  • h2o 05 card
  • volksfest 05 dash card

And now onto the 2nd shelf:
  • A random assortment of cleaning rags and buffing pads.
  • and a VW beverage koozie.

The third shelf houses all the real goodies:
  • clay bar
  • Meguires deep crystal step 2 polish
  • eagle 1 all wheel and tire cleaner
  • eagle 1 tire shine
  • meguires quick detailer
  • nxt quick detailer
  • armor all multi-purpose cleaner
  • little bit a goo-gone
  • little bit a turtle wax ultra gloss
  • nxt metal polish
  • klasse
  • zymol
  • nxt
  • armor-all original wipes
  • mothers bug and tar remover wipes (suck ass)
  • mother's powerball
  • clay lube
  • invisible glass
  • tarminator
  • blue coral car wash
  • and some single packs of some wax and car wash

Next shelf:
  • Dirt devil spot cleaner
  • ultra soft bristle tire brush
  • random orbit buffer
  • flashlight (should be in the car)

The floor of the closet:
  • bucket with sponge
  • silicone lube
  • black trim paint
  • rain x bug wash
  • prestone bug wash
  • new thermostat
  • used water pump
  • vw synthetic power steering fluid (almost empty)

And a pile of fox things (dual downpipe buried under there somewhere) and a new beetle driver's dash kick panel/relay box cover

And that's most of it. I needa figure out where all my microfiber rags went. and my absorber chammois.

I also found some running board cover material. maybe i should post it up in the classifieds.

Thanks, I'll check around for this brand. I did buy another brand a few years ago that was labeled the new car scent but it was so strong and nothing like a new car scent so i tossed it away. This one must be much better!

Alrighty. So I don't have too much. I had more but it's all the ex's house now and I'm not going over there to get it, so I had to start anew. Great thread idea, Bree. I wanted to start one of these awhile ago but assumed there already was one!

The Zip Wax soap works so well. It makes your car really smooth feeling. I use the little Claybar package from Mother's every now and again. The Tire shine works great as well, but works even better when you don't let it soak in on its own and you scrub it in with a brush. It lasts longer that way. And I use the little brush for my rims to get in the spoke holes.

I wish i had a pic of my buckets of goodies. I have one giant rubbermaid tote with most of my supplies. cloths, chemicals, chemicals that sucked and don't work, inherited chemicals, etc.

My heart belongs to Meguiar's though. I love all their products. Mothers would be 2nd. And Grease Lightning is my best friend for cleaning wheel dust and many other things including tar.

I do alot of trial and error with cleaning stuff and have alot of junk. I should clean house.

Here's a question. The lovely city I work in decided to not put a sign up saying there was wet paint on the road. Well, they did, but it was behind a curve in the road so I didn't see it until I had already run over the white line on the side of the freeway. Thankfully any white paint that got on my car matches, but there is white paint in my wheel well. Not a lot but it bothers me. What can I use to get it off?

Goo-gone, WD40 (careful where you spray it though), acetone, just about any solvent as long as it's not on a painted surface. Wheel wells are easier since they are usually not finished.
