You basically live in it. It always happens this way.
1. Car is clean.
2. Put something in the passenger seat.
3. Someone needs a ride, just throw it in the back.
4. Repeat steps two and three until the front and back are filled.
5. Put everything in the truck.
6. Repeat step four.

Congratulations. Your car now looks like mine.

7. Clean out the car.

Okay, so its not that drastic, but good gosh at all the clothes I found in my car that I haven't worn in weeks.

That's nothing ... try to have a 6yr old child that loves the beetle soo much that the he

1] wants to clean it .. and then thake a ride on it (with the same shoes). so then you have to re-clean the interiors from the watery-soapy-muddy shoes

2] take his toys inside.

3] eat cookies inside ...

go back to step 1.

Not that I mind, I love my car, but with all the mess my child makes in it, I think he loves it more than I do

Egads! My sister has a 2002 Snap Orange bug. She once had the trunk completely filled. Roller blades, water bottles, Numerous sweatshirts, old homework .... everything! I bought her some Monster Mats to keep the cars carpet clean ... they are broken and they slide all over the place (yes, even under the pedals on the driver side). I feel like smacking her.

Zoomer on the other hand, is usually clean. Unless it snows. Then of course it is hard to keep clean. I might have a water bottle or two that I forget to take out ... or some gum wrappers but that is usually it.

Actually, I was working on cleaning my car out, but then i got distracted and decided to check the forum and my e-mail and myspace and facebook... ADD will get ya sometimes. Now back outside with my lazy self.

I totally know what you guys mean, I clean her, and she's looking so perfect, but I start throwing things in the back when people get in.

I need to stop being so busy that I live out of my car!

That is too funny. That's how it usually is for me too. I've really do step 7 quite frequently though so Cup dosen't stay junky for long.

Good thread Emi

Emi,
You hit the nail on the head! I was just pondering why my back seat and floor has so much crap ...and you broke down my pattern to a science.
1. LOTS of Bills and letters and junk mail
2. Shoes
3. 2 work shirts
4. 2 Hoodies (You can never have enough Hoodies!!!!!)
5. Work Laptop (under the clothes)
6. Big Jug of water from when my car almost overheated 2 months ago...(everything is fixed, but I kept it just in case)
7. CD Cases - Del the funky homosapien, OM records mixes, and some old drum and bass stuff...and a couple self help CD's on how to get organized j/k
8. VW Stickers I ripped out of a magazine
9. Bottle of Barbecue Sauce I was going to give to a friend but I forgot(Everett and Jones is the best!)
10. A couple Kid Robot figures
11. Brand Spanking New Bernt Pod (Thanks SMG!)

I kept thinking the same thing.. I clean out my car, and what do you know, its messy again almost instantly. Mine is normally school books, jackets, clothes to wear after work, clothes that i wore at work, shoes, CDs, lap top, empty water bottles, trash, etc. when someone needs in, just throw it in the back seat. if more than one needs a ride, throw it in the trunk. then get embarrassed when you say that your trunk is too full and you have to ride with all the stuff in the back seat.
