Do a search for the term raggtopp. Here is one thread that discusses this cleaner/protectant http://www.newbeetle.org/forums/show...light=raggtopp

As far as I know, you have to order it. I just did Skeeter's top this past weekend and it works beautifully. The rain actually beaded up on the top this morning so I feel much better now. I will probably treat it pretty often just because of it getting pretty hot and dry/dusty in the summer months.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Raggtop protectant is a paraffin wax based product containing other cloth preserving components as well.
As such, an annual application every Spring should be sufficient protection for your top. The key to maintaining that protection is normal "washing" , by hand, with plain water and a SOFT bristle brush to sweep any accumulated dirt/dust from the top. Then I use a waffle weave micro fiber drying towel to dry the top off to prevent any water deposits from staining the top.

If you follow that regimen you will not only protect and preserve your top in a like new condition but you won't be loading it up with excessive layers of protectant that can probably be more damaging than helpful to the fabric.

Just my $.02.

Raggtopp is the very best thing you can do for your NBC's top.

Ok. So, I only need do this once a year, then? And, in between, just wash with water and use the brush I bought to clean the top with. Easy enough. I just thought that I would need to spray a coat on every 3 months or so because of our climate, etc.
