Default Plastic Care?

am going to polish my headlights soon, and I was wondering what was the best way to help keep them looking like new. Or any other plastic pieces, like the windgaurd for example. So is there a product specific to take care of it? I bet there is and I jsut not have heard of it

ok well if there are no suggestions you wanna give as to how you care for plastic. I would like to hear how you care for yours? All I haev done to mine is wash it, I dunno what really to use on it ebsides soap and water. Looked liek new in december and now theya re getting all scratched up. Do you do the same? Or polish it somehow, or just let it go and polish it like every 6 months, or even do some dort of tribal voo-doo dance(wtf?)? Let us know!

I read good reviews on this one and plan to try it next.

Everyone says the foam makes it easier to see when cleaning.

I tried Meguiars' PlastX, didn't work so well for me personally because what oxidation I do have is inside the lens, but I've heard good things about it. My lenses not all that bad anyway. I'm just OCD about stuff. Haaa.

I tried PlastX too, initially did it by hand and it did nothing. But I heard to get good results, you need to use a machine. I think I'll pick up that little polisher that sticks on a drill and try that.

...at some point.

Are you talking about Mothers powerball?
Or is there another one.
Thanks.

Yes, that's the one. Advance sells them for a reasonable price, I just need to buy it.

Thanks. I thought there might be another one. I have the larger one and want to grab up the mini next time.

Try out this kit, we purchase all of our vehicle care supplies from them (they are local to us), but it worked well on my headlights!

Default PlastX works for me

I use Meguires PlastX and for the light stuff it works fine. The key is to clean on a regular basis to keep it from getting to bad. But for heavier stuff you really do need an electric buffer.

Picked up the Mothers mini powerball this afternoon, I'll use it with the PlastX tomorrow and let you all know how it goes. And as always, before and after pics will follow.

Yeah I suck, I haven't even tried it yet. Next time I wash him (which might be today, depending when I get home from work) I'll give it a shot. Promise!
