Need help removing the cup holders??

My 2001 has those swinging cup holders in the front part of the shifter and for some reason i got sticky orange juice in the cup holder from a melted popsicle in there and it, i assume, went into the little holes that have the spring loaded tabs to "hold ur drink in place" well now my cup holder won't move so i can put a jumbo cup in them. Now i have cleaned out the cup holder holes but i am having a hard time cleaning the inside of the cup holder base.

Is there a way to remove this so that i can clean in all the way? Even the inside track??

With the cup holder swung over to the right, just push up from underneath and it'll snap right out.

ok after that how do i put in back in? The same way??

Yup. You can start to line it up and snap it back on. Then slide it over to the left to close and push down to snap the rest of the tabs in.

umm i accidentally broke the slider lock tab? but than i finally got it.
