Default Conditioning leatherette?

I took my car to the dealer today to have, among other things, cracking leatherette looked at under warranty. It seems to be wearing unusually faster than it should. The dealer told me I have to condition the seats. The last I checked leatherette is vinyl hence no conidioning is required, am I wrong. What do yall use to care for your leatherette seats?

Use a good vinyl conditioner. I use some stuff that came with my last spa cover. It's called Cover Shield. Auto Truck Accessories and some other sites carry good vinyl conditioner.

Does actual leather conditioner work the same as vinyl conditioner? I've used leather conditioner on my seats but am going to go buy some actual vinyl stuff here soon.

Meguiar leather conditioner is what I used on my Beetle, great stuff, available at most auto parts stores.

I'd think a leather conditioner would have a different chemical makeup, hence perform a different function. My guess would be that vinyl conditioner would be best.

Q) would that be like ArmorAll or Son of a Gun? Or something for pliable vinyl?

Some folks do not like Armor-all for vinyl. I don't rememeber why.
One of the online stores that sells detailing supplies and convertible top cleaners like Raggtop for cloth tops, also sells a product for vinyl tops. I think anything that is specificilly made for vinyl that is in the weather a lot, should be good for the interior parts.

I think vinyl cleaner would also be better.
Not sure why but I was thinking your bug was package #2.
