Default Vinyl Seat Factory Replacement Cover?

The side bolster on the beetle (cream leatherette) isheavily worn down to fibers and needs replacement.

Can a new cover be purchased through VW and swapped in place after the old one is removed?

sure, you can look order a replacement cover from your local dealer, or thru an online vendor like http://www.1stvwparts.com/

replacement seat parts aren't cheap...heck, they took my breath away.

i looked up the price for a leatherette seat back cover for a 99-04 beetle, and the prices range from $236-348 (and those prices are discounted from MSRP).

you might be able to find a complete used seat for less.

good luck!
