Anywho, any advice for someone looking to have a good carwash kit? I mean down to the nitty gritty to! I'm talking from the wash mit to the drying towel!

From what I saw, I think I'm going to go with this Meguiar's Kit i found online that seems like a good mix of stuff mentioned above.

Oh, and interior cleaning stuff is good too!
Thanks Guys!!

I finally washed, claybarred and detailed Daisy this past Sunday.

wash - my parents used to be in Amway so I use that brand of car wash. Very concentrated and lasts a long time. I like to use a wash mitt

dry - squeegee and cloths

claybar - Megiure's claybar kit. comes with a cloth and 2 claybars. I use clean soapy water instead of the bottle included with the kit.

wax - I got some wax at the Denver car show last year. It worked well but I had to use Megiure's NXT paste wax to get out some scratches. The NXT wax also eliminated hard water spots on my sunroof.

tires/wheels - LOC (Amway product) shines up the wheels very nice. Megiure's wet tire shine is cool cause you can adjust the spray.

I didn't get a buffer but Daisy looks beautiful anyway. The paint is smoooooooooth!

Ok, so i just washed and waxed my NB. I used the NXT Meguires wax. How do I tell when it is time for a new coat of wax. The only think I can think of is when the water doesnt bead as well.. Is there any other way to tell?

I use Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax when in a hurry for fast detail. Looks great and easy to use.

I am a fanatic when it comes to waxing, I use the Meguiars cleaner wax then follow it up with a shot of Meguiars Gold Class, and then for maintainence I use the detailing spray. I wax my car at least every 2 weeks thru the spring and summer months. This year has been tough with all the rain in the northeast but I am planning on getting back on track. Especially when you look at that car after its waxed and it just looks a jewel, greatest feeling.

Oh cool! Nice Cori!! You squeegee your car dry? Similar to this?

DISCLAIMER: NOT ADVERTISING THE PRODUCT! Just the way the car was dried.

Hehe, I use a waterblade too. I think the material is VERY important. One isn't always equal to all the others. I also wipe it on a cloth between each swipe, just added protection against scratches.

Default RejeX

I use a product called Rejex...I don't know if I would have chosen that name for the product, but that's what it's called. LOL. I've used it for a couple of years now.

RejeX®: So Slick, Bugs Can't Stick!

RejeX is actually not a wax, but a thin-film polymer coating. It also is touted as a bug repellant, and works fairly well.

Here's my car below. For silver, you don't get much more of a shine than this:

Thanks...
I don't think it's really meant to be used with wax at all, really.

According to their product info:
RejeX can be used over existing wax; however, the duration of protection will be reduced as the softer underlying wax degrades comparatively quickly. There is no reason to wax over RejeX. As we’ve already said, RejeX leaves a shinier, longer-lasting finish than wax… and the wax can't adhere well to RejeX
It also needs to cure for 12 hours out of the elements.

I just detailed my car about two weeks ago and I LOVE the stuff that I used on her I started with the Mothers California Gold clay bar. For the polish I used the ICE paste polish (turtle wax) which also made the black on the side mirrors and at the bottom of the windshield look great! And used the Turtle Wax Express wax, I only detail her twice a year, any time between that I just use the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer.

BTW, can I used a tire cleaner/shine to make the wheel wells have that "deep black"?
