Default Dash problems

Ok, I read the post about the scratches from the dog thread and I have a different problem. Most of you know that I bought Ernie used last month. My problem is when the sun hits my dash, you can see "swipe" marks on the dash. Like someone has used Amour all or some other crap on it. It isn't scratched, perfectly smooth to the touch, but I have scrubbed and scrubbed. I even tried some leather/plastic cleaner that I use on my seats, still the swipe marks are there. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks in advance!!!!

might be the soft touch paint starting to peel up on the area. not much you can do to fix that other than get it all off and refinish.

It doesnt look like it is about to peel, it looks like swipes that someone was in a hurry and didn't rub it in or rinse it off. I am going to try more soapy water and then I will just live with it. Anyone else have any ideas???
Thanks!

Just dump some Armorall on the unaffected areas and let it sit over night!

Just cover it up with a Bug Dash Cover. Its snaps into place. I have both flat and vertical dash covers available. This was one of the problems I sought to eliminate with this product. You can scrub and scrub and those swirl marks will not be totally eradicated. The cap polymer on top of the ABS plastic of the dash has been degraded with the plastic directly below. My plastic dash covers in comparison are made with a cap that has three times the UV inhibitor properties than that of the factory dash.

Go get yourself some unscented baby wipes and clean thoroughly with those. That should get off the gunk.

Then, if you want to protect it, get a product like Prima Nero. Spray it on a cloth and wipe it on.

X2. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer.

OEM's are the industry's brand name auto manufacturers, such as General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, etc. The OEM definition in the automobile industry constitutes a federally-licensed entity required to warrant and/or guarantee their products, unlike "aftermarket" which is not legally bound to a government-dictated level of liability.

I was wondering about that. I don't care for adding something to cover the dash with. If you do that enough, you end up with a big mess.

Like I said, Baby wipes should clean it up.

If you can post any pics, that would probably help us diagnose.

Oh this is interesting! So tell me, what is the measurement of the UV inhibitor on your product?

Customers have told me it looks OEM. The polymer Korad has inhibitor measurement three times greater than than of the OEM dash. I can post the link it you would like.

Scott, How about a salvage yard trip to replace the panels, then strip yours or resell them here for someone who wants to do a paint experiment?

Rodney's are scratched, and I have replacements..as soon as I install them, I'm going to list my old ones here in case someone wants to play with paint.

Having customers tell you it LOOKS OEM does not MAKE it OEM.

Selling it as so, is absolute fraud.

It's great that you are excited about your product. But please be very careful in how you market it. You're being quite fraudulant in what you are saying about it.
