Default Grease on headliner

Help! I let my husband (the Farmer) use my car on Friday (he was taking my son to get his G2 - driver's license) and somehow he managed to get grease (from his hat) on my headliner.
I told him he was banned from driving my car
So, how do I get rid of it?

If you can get a stain remover called Folex in Canukistan, that will take the stains out.

Hadn't heard of that one Des - I'll have to look for that.

I have h=ad decent success with Blue Coral Blue Coral - Dri-Clean Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, 22.8 oz. aerosol (DC19D) from Midway Auto Supply at SHOP.COM
Got at Pep Boys...I think.

I have an appointment at the dealers next week.
Her passenger running light quit, so I'm going to have them look at the stain while she's in there.
I'm afraid that I'll just spread it & make it worse.

Gojo--the kind w/o grit--then hit it with a steam cleaner. I had the same thing where the P/O of my TS had the oil changed and the monkey shoved the bill up in the visor and got grease and oil from the back of his hand on the headliner.

It has always been the headliner that got to be the challenging problem in a vehicle particularly when there is a stain or uncomfortable smell. Cleaning a headliner properly can help extend its life by years, possibly decades. This had been helpful for me, How to clean your car headliner.

You probably have everything you need under your kitchen sink. Think of what the stain is made of. Grease. What did they clean wildlife with during those big oil spills?

Use JOY dish washing liquid about 60/40 in a saturated sponge. Be sure to put down plenty of towels inside to catch dripping down.Press on the stain with the sponge. Keep rinsing your sponge as it picks up the grease.

DO NOT RUB THE STAIN. Keep dabbing it till it looks to be gone. Use sponge and start rinsing it with WARM clear water. REPEAT if not all removed. Bet ya a Krispy Kreme donut that will work.

JOY breaks down grease very effectively and have used it many time on similar stains. Let us know how it works out for you.

They don't use JOY in those cleanups, they use DAWN. It cuts through grease like no other dish soap
