Removing front plate mount
Shutter came with one of those ugly black front plate brackets. Since we are not required to have a front plate in NC I really would like to remove it. Is there any way for a DIY person to patch the holes and make it look decent?

Yup
check out this thread: DIY: $10 Bumper Plugs - G35Driver A trip to the hardware store and a can of color matched spray paint should do the trick.
