Default Left sun roof tilted ... water got in...

I left my sun roof tilted open today and it poured rain. My headliner got wet and it looks like it might stain. Is there anyway to fix this before it stains???

I've been told to treat the headliner like carpet. Get some carpet stain remover and clean it. Maybe even use a dry vac on it to suck out any remaining water in it. I have to do that with mine because it's all stained up from grease...not sure how though, but it is. Good luck. Let us know if that works.

Be careful how you clean it; if you're not careful about what you use it can easily start to sag. Good luck!

Today it looks a lot better. It has dried and doesn't look like it stained.

I blotted it immediately after it happened with a paper towel. Which made the paper towel slightly yellow. Is that the glue?

Ugh. I cant believe I did that ... lame.

Chalk it up to a lesson learned. I bet you never do that again. Darn, Denver monsoon rains. They sneak up in you. I am crossing my fingers for you that it doesn't stain.

Yeah. It really sucked. I was in the Northfield area (I-70 and Quebec) getting a few paper products at Target ... sunny and 88* when I went in ... 1/2 hour later ... BAM! Thunder, lightning, rain and hail .... ugh.

Well if it hailed too, and all you got was a little water on your headliner from that storm, YOU got lucky. I'll bet Zoomer will be fine.

I sure did get lucky! Evidently that area got hammered after I left. My brother works near I70 and Quebec and he said he was getting large hail and stuff.

Is it possible to have a sensor that closes the windows and roof when it rains? custom?

That would be nice.

So far it has only stained a little bit. Looks like a little bit of dirt. Gonna try and get that off this weekend using baby wipes.

I somehow got a small lip gloss smudge on the headliner next to the visor. No idea how I did that... anyway I just sprayed a VERY small amount of resolve on the spot and then rubbed with a dry cloth. It came out. No signs it was ever there. I would not get really carried away with ANY product, so you don't get the headliner very wet. You might give it shot.

That is a good idea as well. I do have a few spots and stuff on my headliner, not sure how they got there either since I dont ever touch it. I suppose when I have the windows and sun roof open it gets dirty.

LOL @ at the lip gloss. I have a bit on my sun visor. :P Gotta get that off too!
