Default Back to Black

I finally bought some Back to Black today and used it on the exterior black trim (cowling, antenna base, side mirrors) to remove polish/wax left over from my sloppy technique.

It worked amazingly well. I had heard good things about it and they were true. I also used it on the inside - made the grab bar and steering wheel shiny and like-new black, much better than the faded black I was used to. It worked better than other rubber/plastic interior products I have tried.

I've been using Back to Black for years. It's a worthwhile product!

I went to Checker aka O'Reilly's. $7.50 for a bottle and a little goes a long way. I've been thinking I should snag some for awhile and Donavan and I finally did today. I told him that car parts stores are where the fun stuff is. He just wanted down(I was holding him) so he could knock over the displays. He did like holding on to the bottle of Back to Black though.

It's Mothers brand btw.

My husband uses it on the Miata. (who will be 15 next year) it really does shine up the old black. Advance Auto carries it here in NC

Honestly - I've been able to find most of these products at Walmart or Target at fractions of the full price.

Ironically enough last week after visiting 3 Pep Boys, 2 Autozones, and a Target, I found my refill at Walmart!

Hmm....I may have to look into this stuff. I did a sloppy wax job (first time ever waxing a car) and my trip peices are all nasty looking. I'd like to get that original black color back! Good thing I have to go to walmart anyway hehe!

I looked at the Super Target and they didn't have it. Last night after her bath I went to the garage to look at her...so nice and shiny and the pieces that are supposed to be black - are!

I bet you come back with EVERYTHING but back to black!

I rarely see people go to Walmart and leave with what they were looking for. They leave with just about EVERYTHING else

That is such a true statement. EVEN me, I do that, and I HATE Walmart. That place annoys the hell out of me. LOL!

I found it at Wal-Mart.! I have yet to use it, I think I'll try it tonight after I wash the car.

Back to Black just doesn't last long enough. Meguiars Trim Detailer applies way nicer, doesn't need buffing and lasts for well over a month. Even longer if your car lives in the garage.

There is also a product called Forever Black that makes products for moldings, soft tops, and tires that works very well

I bought some back to black and i love the stuff! Just for people that haven't used it yet, i HIGHLY recommend you shake it for about a 30seconds before you apply it. Otherwise, it doesn't go on very easily and is kinda runny afterwards.

Otherwise, great stuff!

i found that my back to black has worn off and now shows the places where I accidentially got wax on the black even worse. I've tried washing and scrubbing to get rid of the wax but I can't get it off. The back to black was great for "masking" it for awhile but now I have to do it again Though I LOVE the solid blackness after using it! very sharp
