Default Remove swivel cupholders

I searched for "remove cupholders" and didn't find anything helpful. I would like to remove them so I can soak them in cleaner and really get them clean. Does the shift boot need to be removed first?

Thanks!

If you slide the holder out, you'll see a panel under where it normally sits. Basically if you carefully pull up, the holder will come up along with that base plate (attaches with spring clips). And just press it in to reinstall.
