Default Mr. Clean Auto Dry

OK, so rarely do I ever endorse any product that is supposed to make car care easier. My experience has always been that nothing beats a good old hard days work detailing my bug. I have used products in the past that were just a waste of money!
For Christmas I got one of those Mr. Clean Auto Dry systems.

All I can say is WOW. This thing works great! I spent all of 15 minutes on the car and it looks like I encased it in glass. No drying or nothing.
Granted this thing can't beat a complete detail, but for the washes in between....I haven’t seen anything better.

I second that. Even though you still have to get in there with some elbow grease it does take alot of work out of the process.

I got one for Christmas as well and have been very impressed with it so far. It's helped cut down on the time spent washing the car and especially drying it. Before I would usually go through 2 towels and a whole lotta elbow grease to dry the car.

I got the Auto Dry when they frist came out and fell in love with it...didn't think it could get much better and then one of the girls at work got me the Auto Dry Pro for my birthday. The only word I have for it is AWESOME! The Pro system has a stronger water stream and comes in a handy dandy carrying case

drugstore.com offers the startup kit for $17 with free shipping!

my only concern is how the polymer reacts with your existing coat of wax over time... I'd like to avoid buildup. I did some more reading and the vwvortex forums also give this product great reviews- so I think I'll brave it!

I've heard those are awesome, however, I haven't gotten around to getting one for myself. Hopefully soon! I've never heard anything negative about them, and the people I know are very critical about the way their car looks.

I also have one and love it. Without it I had a hard time keeoing the water spots off. With it I don't even get a towel or shammy out. It is great.

Mr. clean.....yes he is great and I bought mine when he first came out. Here is the deal. All you need is the green car wash. You dont need the big sprayer, or the filter pack. I buy the green liquid and put it in a hose applicator (connects to the hose that sprays and holds about 5 oz of the wash) i spray it on sponge wash it then rinse it with regular water. it is the soap that leaves it spot free not the filter pack. so that saves some money. just my input. And let me tell you....I love Powder to death and only give him the best of the best!!!

I love mine too. I'll never go back. I'm considering spending the cash to upgrade to the newer more powerful one. It is that good.

me too. plus the old one is starting to show a lot of wear as it gets used so much.

has anyone owned or used both the new and old versions and might could offer some input on how different the more powerful spray is?

Ok, I guess I'll be the first (only?) nay-sayer. I tried it on my black F250 and had horrible water spots. I could'nt have been more disappointed. Maybe it's because I have well water- I don't know. Haven't tried it on my Shadow Blue bug yet...

if it came in a box, it's the old version.

if it came in a case, it's the new version.

the new one is called "Pro Series" as well.

I went over to Target and got me one of these. I really like it. It gives me much better water pressure than my regular sprayer on my hose.
