Default Cleaning Plastic Cover Over Speedo/Gauges

Does anyone know the best way to clean the clear plastic round
cover over the speedo/gauges? I have tried invisible glass sprayed on a paper towel and then wiped on the plastic. Still looks like it is dirty. I think it might be on the inside of the clear plastic. Is this clear plastic removable and if it is how hard is it to do? Any suggestions on how to remove scratches from this clear plastic. I have Plastic-X but I am afraid it might be too strong? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I have searched all of this forum but did not see this problem addressed. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'd only use a soft cloth - microfiber or cotton diaper cloth - paper will cause scratches. But now that they are there, I really don't know what you would use.

The front ring pulls off of the speedo -you puull it forward and it is just snapped on...then there are some torx screws that hold the plastic part on. Check out the how to section on how to remove the speedo.

novuspolish The fine scratch remover is made to do exactly what you are trying to do. You can find it at most Harley dealers.
