Default Bring back crayon smell?

Ok so some people like the crayon smell and some don't. I LOVE it! It makes me think of when i was a kid. My bug smelled strong of it for 7.5 years and now its died down. If its hot out and the car has been locked up i can smell it. Or if i pull my mats out to vac the carpets i can smell it. But that's about it now days. Everyone says its some kind of wax stuff in the floor. I was thinking maybe i could take the carpet out scratch up that wax stuff and maybe it would bring back some of the crayon smell. You know... like a scratch and sniff sticker? lol Anyone think it could help bring back the smell any? Maybe scratch and heat?

It seems like when I painted my center dash pieces, that somehow triggered that crayon smell. Go figure

We just got our NB a 2002 Last night and have been trying to figure out why it smelled like crayons, Guess it's supposed to go figure. I wont worry about it any more.

On a side note, we were replacing the driverside seat belt buckle, yes for the airbag light. So why in there I just took all the seats out and scrubbed and cleaned the entire carpet. No time like the present.

It is the smell of cheap toxic plastic. But it does smell good. I still love the smell of the old bugs and Ghias.

Yeah i like it. I think it smells good too. A lot of people go through hell trying to rid of it. When i have my back seat folded down the smell comes back. And when i take my floor mats out to clean the smell comes back strong. I guess its still in my car... i get used to it. But if i dont drive it for a coupl eof days i smell it when i get back in. Also when its been closed up in the heat.

I had a giggle when I read this because I had no idea this was common in NBs. The joke was that someone who worked at a crayon factory owned my car last. It always smells like crayons and I don't think it will ever stop but that's okay because it's still my favorite car of all time.
