Default cleaning plastic lower dash

cleaning plastic on the lower dash...
how does one get rid of the sticky layer?

i need to prep them and spray them black, console too...but everything's sticky to the touch.

acetone? thinner?

Go-Gone was suggested one time on this subject. I have a bottle, but haven't tried it yet. I had the sticky stuff on my lower door panels.

Yeah both our buggies had it on the grab handles on the door panels I just scrapped it of with my fingers and cleaned it up with an orange cleaner so now they are just the grey plastic and much better looking.

there is a RIDICULOUSLY in-depth thread somewhere about what worked and what didn't on getting that sticky layer off.
