My mom is completely capable - she knows my 'rules' - no jewelry, sponge/cloth goes side to side, microfiber only. No fundraiser car washes - I don't trust them. I've had Daisy detailed once by professionals. They did a great job, much better than I can do, especially with the cloth interior.

Cori,

You saw my poor little blue project... There is so much wrong in the body even charity cases couldn't hurt the poor guy... Now, if/when I get new paint etc on it that's gonna be a different story... 8*)

My hubby almost always helps when I wash my car. I'll help him wash his and he helps me wash mine. Gets the job done quicker. I'll admit, I don't take as good of care of the paint as I should. I only wash the car a few times a year and in 5 1/2 years of ownership I've never even waxed her. But her paint is still super shiny so I've done something right I've also let a local "no-touch" car wash place to do it in the winter.
