Default Headlight Polishing w/Pics

I purchased this '02 Beetle about 2 months ago for my wife and needless to say, it needs some TLC. Honestly, this car wasnt my first choice for her b/c of all of the problems i hear but she loves it so I guess thats all that matters.

On to the pics then i guess. The first one I was an idiot and forgot to take before pics, but it was the worse of the pair. I used a used 3M headlight restoring kit. You could probably get 3/4 sets of headlights done in 1 kit to be honest.

You can see here the comparison of done vs. NOT done...and if you can imagine, the one thats done was in worse shape.

Now onto the passenger side.

BEFORE:

These scratches were a bitch to get out.

AFTER:

And some pics of my ride for good measure

Nice job! Why not take it one more step in protecting your headlights from hazing out again.

It will help protect headlights from road debris and airborne chemicals and contaminents, but won't give anysignificant protection from ultra-violet sunlight which is what causes hazing and discoloration (yellowing) of the polycarbonate that is used for the headlight covers. Aftermarket headlight assemblies probably use even a lower grade plastic material for the covers to reduce the cost. Polish them up, seal/wax them, keep them clean, just like your chrome and paint finishes.
