Dont use Windex or other glass cleaners made for your household glass. You have to work too hard to get all the streaks out. Instead, get a glass cleaner made for auto glass. easy to use, and no streaks. In fact, it works so good, we use it in the house instead of the Windex-type stuff. And it costs about the same.

can you use the auto glass cleaner on the inside of the back window? Is it possible for it to mess up the defogger?

I use the auto glass cleaner on the oustide but I don't use it on the inside.

Just make sure to go ammonia-free if you have tint.
