I have had good luck with simple green, patience, an old toothbrush, patience, and a small dry towel. Mix up the simple green according to directions, use a toothbrush when necessary, work in small sections, and dry and prevent runs with the towel.
I thought Mothers:Back to Black was for tires? |

I'll second the notion of Mothers: Back to Black. Worked great on my Turbo S as well as a '79 "Epilogue Edition" Triple Black 'Vert Bug I detailed 2 years ago.

Mother's Back to Black will do the trick... wash the piece first with a clean rag and some woolite detergent first (woolite is amazing for getting out stains of any kind), dry it off then use the Back to Black.
The only wax I've never seen stain or turn plastic or rubber white is 3M Perfect-it paste... so easy and amazing to put on but the shine and gloss goes away pretty quickly (less than a month). |

you can try peanut butter. of course not the chunky kind.
I know that on BMW forums, some people have used it on bumper trims and it came out looking really good. So it should help on the wax part. I would try using it on inconspicuous area first. GL |
