Default How do I clean my soft top?

I recently bought a NB convertible and need to wash it. I've never owned a soft top before- what is the best way to clean it?

Should I avoid high-pressure washers (aka do-it-yourself car wash bays)?

Can I use the soap brush on it?

What else do I need to know?

Thanks!

RaggTopp Cleaner and protectorant is the best stuff for a rag top. You really only need to clean it 3 or 4 times a year and spot clean any bird stuff or other droppings like sap and such. In between, a quick spritz with a wand (not on the I'm going to blow a hole through you setting but the lower setting). If not available, don't get up close to the top - step away or hold the wand at least 18" away from the top. Blot dry after allowing it to air dry. Try not to leave it in direct sun to dry - especially if you have hard water. It will leave spots.

For those tough spots, get a nail scrubber - you know those little brushes you use to clean your finger nails. The bristles are soft and do a good job of cleaning the targeted area.

Always try to get bird and sap off your car as soon as possible.
