Default gum removal

My car has gum all over the back fender, behind the rear tire. What is the best way to get this off? Its really sticky and tried getting it off when I washed my car this morning but it it just got worse. Should I use tar remover?

Goo Gone or WD40 will remove the stuff. I've even used WD40, very carefully, to remove gum from carpeting.

You can also use zippo lighter fluid to remove gum and all other kinds of things. If you read the label on it, it will tell you all that it will remove.

Thanks for the responses! I do have some goo gone, I wasn't sure if it was ok to use on the paint. I will try that first.

It will work and should be fine on the paint just make sure you wash it afterwards. Also it is going to take the wax off the spot you put it on so wax that spot back up when you're done!
