Picky? Yes yes!! I am the same way. I like to have atleast 1 of Evilina's sides blocked by a wall or the end spot. I don't care how far I would have to walk!

NB's are fairly scarce down here - there are not a lot of them around, so it is really funny to find one parked next to you. I also find that other "retro" cars park next to me - mini's etc.

Me too. Although my car is 6 years old and has a few dings from the previous owner, I'm careful where I park, usually try to get an end spot also/or parallel park.

VW's really aren't that plentiful here either, but if I see one by itself I'll park by it

Thumbs up

I went to the local Target and a Black Beetle( Sorry I can't tell what is what yet) parked near me and I got all excited. Now I try to do it whenever possible.
One of the Publix supermarkets in town has an employee who drives a Green NBC. I'm convinced it's an employee b/c the bug is there all the time. When I go there to shop I try to park next to it everytime.

If I can't park near one I'll go look at one if it's in the lot.

You're from Deland? Cool. You should come up to Jax for one of our GTG's. Any GTG action happening in Deland?

I thought I was the only one to do this. Unless of course I see a spot open next to a beetle

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

You're always welcome to hang with us here in Jacksonville. Oh yeah, you should check out the Old City Oil Drippers- they're an old school VW club but they welcome us new beetles as well. They meet on the last saturday of each month. They start in St. Augustine and by days end they usually end up in Daytona. Between St. Augustine and Daytona, you should be able to meet up with the crew.

Oh yeah, try tagging some of the new beetles you park next too. With any fortune, some will reply, join the org, and maybe you'll get some G2G action workin in your area.

Tag? What's a tag? glad you asked. Here's a tag..... They're business card size and fit nicely between the door window, right about where the door handles are.

I did this twice today. I've a 1999 gls black and I purposely parked at the bank next to a platinum gray (a color I covet but don't tell Ciaróg) and later in the day a sad looking black '98. It's weird but you (we?) seem to hope that the other owner will somehow appreciate us as much as we do them.

treblatsirc, you can park next to my Platinum Gray NB, when you come to Portland for a GTG.

And the Tornado Red one, too!

AHH! Go to Target in Daytona on a day I'm working and park next to the Techno Blue GLS TDI, with roof-racks!

I took a certification exam last Saturday. Pulled into the parking lot and found a spot right next to a sapphire blue NB.

Bonus points: it was a TDI, too! (It had a badge on the rear apron.)

I can only imagine the waves of envy that washed over those cars as other people arrived for the exams. Ha!

Ooooh, I can't stand it! There are 2 beetles that I see every day and I don't know why I haven't tagged them yet, but I'm going to do it before I pick the kids up from school!

This is what I leave people.....
