I don't have any tags, but I do speak to New Beetle owners when I can. I parked next to a Cyber Green at Walmart last week, we came out at the same time. I complimented her car and we struck up a conversation, and I invited her to the ORG. I even told her I was thinking of starting a local club. She said she would be interested!!!!!!

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I took 4 with me today and I gave out 4!! Woo-hooo! What a great beetle day I had I tagged 2 bugs in the Old Navy parking lot and went on my merry way to Costco.

When I pulled in 2 very nice gentlemen came up to me and said they had to see my bug and that I had tagged theirs last time I was at Costco. He asked me if I had anymore flyers and I said I had just printed out more that morning. I had actually given him two and he said "Oh, you gave me two" and then when he saw that one had a different picture on it he wanted to keep both.

I told him all about the org and how we go around 'tagging' trying to get new members to come sign up and share pics and he said he just might check it out! !

But the best part of all was on the way home driving down Hwy 111, when I saw a Harvest vert coming the opposite direction & flashed 'em! With my headlights that is! Ha! I not only got a wave, I got an arm up in the air full wave!!!!!!!! LOL I still can't wipe the smile off my face!

Be careful what you wish for.......

Me and a few others just might do that. When the Old City Oil Drippers make their last Saturday of the month trek to Daytona, I just might make a trek over you Target and park next to ya. Who knows, a few more might join in with me.

Today I parked between a 2006 Mellow Yellow NBC and old yellow bug. Right across the row(behind Daisy) was another 06 Mellow Yellow NBC. I was mad - no digital camera!! Just the ole camera phone.

Cori

p.s. of course I tagged the NBCs.

That's what gets me Dnyed. When you tag the same new beetle and you're the only one by their side- for more that one occasion. You think they would realize that it's you who's doing it, and at least leave a courtesey note, a go away note, something. Yeah, some would say the no reply is a message- ah what do they know. They should at least drop a note on your car. That has happened to me too Dnyed.

Thanks for the empathy. I tend to feel a little sorry for myself sometimes

The only time I had a note left on my car was after I left a note on a MINI Cooper S convertible. I wrote how I "loved your car, and I know you love yours as much as I love mine". I got a note back, saying "thank you, yes it is my dream car".

So, even though it wasn't a NB, it still was fun.

Saw a beautiful red '04 today, but not one open spot anywhere around.

As of this time one year ago, there had ever been only one NB in our entire county-- then I bought my Speedy to make 2. I guess I wore my coworkers out telling them how much I liked mine-- Beetle 3 (Plat Grey TDI) and Beetle 4 (Cyber Green TDI) joined us in April and May. In August, someone in town bought Beetle 5 (white is all I know). Beetle 6, my TDI, will come home with me on Friday. To all of you in big cities, I know this is no big deal-- but we have fewer than 1800 people living in our 920 square miles, so the number of NBs is significant. Especially since this is the home of SUVs and monster pickups. They say Americans won't change their driving habits-- but I'm here to say it's happening!

Yesterday, parked by the CG at school:

Mine is the clean one

No, this is a desert-- no mud-- but she does live about 1/2 mile down a red dirt road, hence the nasty car.

The car does belong to a friend of mine-- I was slightly jealous when she got it, as it is a CG TDI, which is what I would have picked given the option-- but as I told my dh, ~oh well, at least my car will always be cleaner than hers!~~~

Although I also live down a dirt road-- I try to take it slow so as not to kick up so much dust.

Also, I usually don't park next to her... and the day I did, she took hers to the car wash (after the pic)
