Not a parking story but I once came to a 4 way stop on a country road and simultaneously coming to a stop on my left was a Platinum Grey NB, to my right coming to a stop was a Platinum Grey NB ------ and I was driving my Platinum Grey NB.

We all sat there for a few seconds looking at each other and laughing.

Spotted my twin earlier at one of the local malls so I parked as close as I could to them. Another Isotope although it wasn't a 1.8T and didn't have the aftermarket stuff that mine does.

Sorry for the crappy photo, only had my camera phone with me.

Default Happy Friday!

I know they say a picture is worth a thousand words, well if I had figured out how to use the camera on my cell phone, I could have shown you you, so try to use your imagination , after work tonight I went out with friends and parked next to a very sweet nb vert, then 2 hours later I drove down the plaza to a store, only to find a salsa red nb parked nose to nose to Lil'Blue when I got out, so I tagged it, then I followed a black nb all the way home and spotted 3 more nbs on the way, I mean what are the odds?.I hope this was a sign of the weekend to come and I promise to never, ever leave home without my camera again, and I will also learn how to use the camera on my cell phone.

Tonight I went to Havasu to get out for a bit. First place I went there was a white buggy. Of course I parked next to it. Then the last place I hit up when I left there was a green buggy parked behind me. So I tagged it.

I will park next to another Beetle if there is a space available, if not I try to find another nice looking VW. VDub people are our own breed..lol..and we love our cars, I figure if I am next a Beetle or any other VW I am less likely to come out and have dents from other peoples car doors on mine. If on the off chance there are no spaces near VW's I look for an empty spot near any car that looks like the owner takes care of it.

I do the same thing! I always remember that commercial for Auto Zone where there is a beautiful Mustang GT (06 or so) in an empty parking lot, and the blue-smoke-spewing-squealing-around-corners-POS-rust-and-gray-colored Buick swings into the spot right next to it and BAM! door hits the Mustang.

I LOVE that commercial. I'll have to YouTube that one.

that reminds me. Have you ever passed a NewBeetle, and noticed how, when they notice you, will make and effort to get behind you to BugAvan? They'll weave around a few cars, even get on it, just so they can catch up with you. Of course, i'll back it off a little so they can catch up.

What's even better than parking by a NB is when you come out to find one parked by you! A couple of weeks ago, when I came out of the grocery store, there was a Uni-Red NBC parked nose-to-nose with my Salsa Red NBC and a guy was just getting out of his. He said "nice car", to which I replied "I was about to say the same to you"

Aawww - those special Beetle Moments - don't cha just love em?

I keep thinking of getting another digital camera to keep in the bug all the time.

4 in a row!

Saw 3 of them with a spot in between, so I had to turn and grab a picture. My cell phone camera is a blessing.

No. I rarely have it up though. I wish it would stay up, but as soon as I stop at a light and go again, it goes down.
