OK, so it's a turbo and I use premium. But STILL! OK, rant over. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

How about $47 to fill up with regular
3 years ago I paid $25 to fill up my '89 Jetta.

Three years ago, it cost me $55 AUD to fill up Hoonbug. At today's prices, it would cost $70 AUD (~ $52) for 50 litres (the tank holds 55 litres, but I never let it get that low).

I paid $41 today.

For the TDI.

But, I ran it hard and still got 550 miles from the tank.

$60 in NY to fill up my Beetle and I only put in 89 despite the fact I should be using 93. Premium is up to $3.50/gallon. I cannot afford that.

I've decided I'm only filling on Thursdays. There's a Shell station that's $3.07 for 93 with .05 off all grades on Thursday. Every place else is running $3.15. I'm lucky to fill an empty tank at $43. Grrr.

It's killing my husband. His Mustang takes regular but his commute is 35 miles one way and he's lucky to average 22 mpg. I wonder when he's going to give it up and buy a Honda Fit? or at least a Civic EX.

That's one of the reasons I got rid of my Mustang also.

I put in $40.50 yesterday, and it had just gotten to the red and beeping at me.

Alan - don't tell me you had an MGA and got rid of it!?!?! An old girlfriend drove one - what a great car - and it had all that legroom...

BTW, it regularly costs me over $100 to fill up the PowerStroke thse days...

Here, too...

$41 to fill up Speedy yesterday. But, that still beats the heck out of the $80 it would have cost to fill up the Expedition we just sold (woohoo!!!), after driving about the same number of miles.

Counting down to October 23rd when the TDI arrives!!! Every day I'm more convinced we did a smart thing by ordering that one!
