How many NBs still with their original owners?
Like the title states. How many New Beetles are still with their original owners from day one? I bought Elwood on November 13th 1998.

September 3, 1998 with 6 miles on the odometer.
About 68,000 now....and that includes a trip to CA and back (with two kids and our pop-up camper) and two trips to NM for R2K.

He now has 151000 They were, for the most part, trouble free.  I bought him March of 2001

2001 NB GLS 2.0
Bought it August 2000 right off the truck 8:01pm no miles. Still have her....95k on the dial and running like a champ. Although I think it needs a new clutch..not sure...thats my next project.

Actually, that an excellent question, which should be followed up with: "How much have you spent out-of-pocket for non-warranty-covered repairs?"
I've owned mine since day one in 1999, have almost 57,000 miles and spent about $300 for rear brakes and rotors at an independent shop. The skid plate is missing and my emergency brake button has been broken (riccocheted around the interior) and that's about it. I'm pleased!!!

I got Wilson on May 12, 2001 with 8 miles on him. A little over 5 years later and he has almost 54,000 miles on him and is just as much fun as the day I got him.
