I have all of the movies on DVD including Herbie:Fully Loaded. My favorite scene(s) are: Herbie comes in first...and third - when he split in half! Hehe. That's a classic. Another favorite is when Herbie locked the doors with Jim and the lady from the first movie inside(what's her name??) And Herbie gets to decide where to take the couple on their honeymoon! That was cute. I like all of the movies but those parts stand out in my mind.

I've seen them all except the 1997 made for TV movie. I think my favorite part is out of Fully Loaded, when he gets sweet on the new beetle. It was just a great scene

Oh yea...got all 5 of em. Only missing the made for TV stint, but I hear that's not worth the trouble of finding it.
I have probably watched each one in the order of 15-20 times, probably the Love Bug, and Monte Carlo the most. What can I say, my son, now 3.5 y/o just loves them. Favorite part.. Herbie goes Bananas - Ships crewman explaining to the Captain. "Muncha muncha muncha" |

I have all 5 on dvd too. My favorite scene is definately the part in the forst one where Tennessee describes how the stop light down the street doesnt like him. That's just awesome.

I have all 5 movies on DVD, plus I have the ultra rare TV series from 1982 on dvd. Not only that, but I own Herbie, and not a replica, but the REAL Herbie. If I hade to pick a favorite scene I couldn't but I can pick a favorite from all of the movies
The Love Bug. When Tennessee(Buddy Hackett) explains to Jim(Dean Jones) what's going on with Herbie."The oter people, dey don't tell no oter people, cuz da oter people would say (insert crazy sound here)" Herbie Rides Again. The dream sequence "He used to be a famous racing car" Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo. The first race"Pre qualifying" When Herbie does the flying start to go after Giselle(the Lancia) around Laguna Seca raceway. Herbie Goes Bananas. The wheelie scene "Maybe this bug did win the grand prix!?!" followed by the "Best Friends" song scene. The way Paco (Joaquin Garay) reacts to Herbie in that scene is the exact way that I feel about Herbie. And on a side note, I've grown to become good friends with Joaquin over the past few years. The Love Bug tv movie. Another one that sums up how I feel about Herbie is the unveiling scene "The honor is yours" when Hank has Jim start Herbie. Herbie Fully Loaded. When Herbie enters on to pit road(slow motion with Apollo 13ish music)and when they rise for the national anthem and Herbie raises his one wiper on his windshield. When I saw that I'm thinking to myself "That's so $&%@ing cool!"

Have all the movies and TV movie on disc and or vhs, but not the 1982 version. I have about 30 or so Herbie-related toys, as well as books, comics, records, etc. Also have a beanie Herbie signed by Dean Jones from Roswell and saw Herbie goes Bananas on the drive-in screen.
I have to second Albert on the scene in the first movie- the whole bit with Tennessee's philosophizing on a mechanical things can be friends. My favorite scene that comes to mind right this moment from all the movies are the opening shots of herbie from above in the beginning of Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo- just driving. Always loved the shape of the car- especially with the wide early rims and hubcaps ![]()
