Just turned 66k over the weekend. I've put 12k on her in the past year and a half so I guess its not too bad.

Aphid is going strong @ 69k & change.
Gas, tires, oil, and the known defective parts: coil packs, brake light switch(es), battery, headlights, and window regulators. At the 70k service, I think we're going to go ahead and replace the timing belt & water pump as preventive maintenance. I've heard too many pre-100k failure stories, and the Jetta's water pump was leaking @ the 105k oil change. As to how long these things runs...with proper maintenance, a good long time. ![]()

I've had Putter for ten weeks, and I have 4925 miles. It'll take me 15 to get home today, so that leaves me 60 miles to get to the dealership in Abilene for his 5K service appointment tomorrow morning. It's about 58 miles to get there... I may have to make a couple of loops around the parking lot before I check in.
Can anyone say 'OCD'? ![]() |
