Missed a new friend.

Noticed a yellow bug on the way home from work. With a cute 'wooptdo' license plate. Tapped my brake lights, & waved the spoiler as they pulled up behind me at a red light. The driver was all happy and waved, then started shouting out the window.

I lowered my window but didn't catch what they were saying. Then I noticed the car next to me had his window down and figured I'd totally mistaken that. [D'oh!] Got a lil' embarrassed but figured all was still good in the world & kept goin' home.

Later on they passed by waving and smiling.... Didn't strike me till 10 miles down the road they were yelling "Hey Phrog". lol.

What a missed connection that was haha. Anyway, I was sure happy to see someone else out there excited and waving.

Did some racing last weekend; mounted tires Thursday, wore them out by Sunday.

It's funny; I got 2 tires from someone for $16... like 2 yrs ago. I finally used them ... used'em up in 5 days haha.

They were wore bad already but damn. Pretty fun stuff.

Phrog's doin' good; now if we could just fix the loose nut behind the wheel....

I gave my first wave today. Most people around here never even pay a second look to another NB so I don't ever wave- I don't wanna get shot at or something! But I waved today... and nothing! But I did find the most awesome license plate frame on an Aquarius Blue NBC. I'm working on getting it made for myself so I'll post it then so no one else steals the thunder! Even though I'm stealing it!

Yeah, it's not often that someone waves back here; but y'know... that just made it THAT much more special.

Now if only I could find a couple more modified bugs locally.

Gawd, I already pine for my New Beetle. I can't get the attention of any NB's in my Passat(*).

Haha. Alright alright; Don't worry though; I notice passats on the road too. So I imagine you catch a few eyes anyway.

Best mod I can say that would make it obvious you dig the whole vw 'family' would be a german flag vinyl.

At least you still have a beetle in the family...

Yesterday, I was leaving the doctors office heading to the grocery store. On the road was a yellow Beetle, but way ahead. Luckily, it turned into the grocery store lot. I parked next to her, and we talked Beetle in the lot and into the store. I told her about this site. It was so much fun talking Beetle, colors and the like. He bumper was filled with political signs, so we aren't the same politally, but that's OK. We love Beetle and the USA.
